Actress/Singer With New Projects On the Way

Brooklyn, New York – May 1, 2017 – It is not rare to come across someone who can both sing and act. Jennifer Lopez jumped from the screen to the stage, and young starlets like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato went the opposite way. A commonality when it comes to talent, a commonality found within Melody Renee. A New Yorker transplant from Detroit who chose to chase her dreams in music after completing her MA in film at New York Institute of Technology. She can not only impress with her voice, but also someone who can steal a scene when the opportunity arises.

Musically, Melody has been a force, nominated for the underground Michigan solo artist awards  from Bridging The Music in April 2017. She’s proven to be quite the showstopper having performed throughout the boroughs of New York City, and has even taken the show on the road getting on stages in Chicago, Pennsylvania, Ohio and more. With a few releases under her belt, she’s managed to garner quite the following. This is especially true with her latest single, “Keep It Moving.” The release of that single alone was covered on various sites including The 9 Elements, The Dope Show Online, The Rotten Apple TV and many, many more. In the coming months Melody will be releasing another new video for “In Your Bag.” She’ll also be continuing her acting on the web series, Sons of Kingston as well as in the short film, Until Debt Due Us Part. In between her music and acting, she’ll also be concentrating on expanding her project Stay Focused, a non-profit organization that works to reach less fortunate communities through motivational speeches.
